Pls help...Motrin question...DS has his first fever....
I know we're lucky to have gone 18 months without a fever, but that leaves me totally unprepared for this one! So DS has a fever of 101, and I am giving him Infant Motrin, but he weighs 30 lbs. and the highest dosage it says on it is 1.875 for weights to 23 lbs.
How much should a 30 lb. 18 month old get? TY! I don't even know what's wrong w/ my poor little guy.

You can give 130 mg.
The dose is 10mg per kg, your ds is about 13 kg if he is 30 pounds (2.2 lbs in a kg)

I've been giving DS childrens motrin, I give him 5ml.

Yes, I still use the dropper. Thankfully he likes the taste so he'll take the whole thing. 5ml is equal to 1 tsp.
