WWYD? Need help quick!
We have DH's Christmas party tonight. Babysitter is scheduled to come at 5:30. I called her earlier to let her know DS hit 104 last night and for her to make an informed decision. She said she would still come because he was only 100 now. (No other symptoms)
DS knows babysiiter is coming and is excited. But now I feel guilty because his temp went to 101.5 and I gave him Tylenol and he has only dropped to 100.7.
Can I cancel babysitter so soon? Go and have a good time? (Party is about 20min away.)

does he have any other symptoms???? i would give motrin and go (as long as its not 104 again) and if she needs u she will call...thats what i would do

As long as the temp lowers with meds then go have fun. Just make sure the sitter gives him the meds on time if you are not back.

I don't think i'd go but Im a first time mom with a one year old so I may be over dramatic in that situation.  Hope DC feels better

was there a reason for the high temp? sick? teething? reaction to a shot?
I think it would depend. If it's teething related then I'd give him meds and go to the party. Also, is the party far or more local.
I think both factors would make my decision. If it was in the city I may not go

This is what I would do as well. As long as it stayed around 100/101 with Motrin I would go, as long as the babysitter is still ok with coming.

He is 3 (so no teething) and just had his flu shot yesterday. (First year of him getting it, so he had his first one a month ago. Then his second one yesterday.) He had no reaction to the first.
He used to get high fevers often with no other symptoms. But it's been a while (months) since he went over 103.

I would go as long as the babysitter was ok with it, he wasn't clingy & no secondary symptoms were present.
I would also ask DH if he'd like to take 2 cars if he wants to stay or if he plans on leaving with me.
