I had a contract with Meenan and it's up at the end of the year. Their new rate is huge!

I had a contract with Meenan and it's up at the end of the year. Their new rate is huge!
we stopped using them after the first year in our house, we also had a contract, I thought they were the most expensive.

Yeah the new ceiling is $3.89. Insanity.
That would have been $760 if that was the case today!

I just got a quote for ceiling from Meenan for 3.19 after getting them down but they started at 3.39
so i would never pay 3.89

I left this matter to DH to negotiate a contract over the summer. He never locked into a ceiling
Our last delivery, and we are due any day now, was over $3. a gallon And with DH having to start over in a new job at a much, much lower salary I swear $$$$ oil deliveries this winter are causing me to lose sleep

well that's good to know.
Slomins is offering 2.89..it pains me to go back to them because they are so nasty to work with but when it's all said and done it's cheaper.

We haven't been home owners very long but we are currently with Meenan. My parents switch back and forth between Meenan and Slomin's every year because they always offer a better deal to switch because they want your business. Usually my dad will get a quote from the competing company when the contract is up, then go back to the current company and ask them if they can match it. They never do, so my parents end up switching. Sounds like a bit more work but they save a lot more money that way. We'll very likely end up doing the same once our contract is up.
