probably in a small mountain town on the road from Modena to Bologna. we'd have a nice oooollllldddd house, restored historically but with a modern heating system  I would run it as an american style b&b.
this is truly my dream.

Wow, it makes me insanely happy that TWO people on this thread know where Toarmina is and want to live there. It is one of my favorite places and only an hour away from my family! You all can come visit me at my vineyard

A beach home in a small town type of places but close to a big city so I can have easy access to shopping.. I would love a places like St Augustine because the beach is dog friendly and our dog love to go in the water and play in the sand.

OMG, be careful b/c I will seriously take you up on that offer It is literally the most beautiful place I have ever been in my life. When I was explaining it to DH, I said "Close your eyes and imagine Heaven on earth."
I cant wait to go there for our 5 yr anny...in 4 yrs & 7 months 
Also, DH's dream is that when he retires, we start our own vineyard!

Barring moving out of the country I think I would stay in NY somewhere. I love the change of seasons. I would love a big Victorian house.

Two answers:
1. If money were no object and I had to stay on Long Island, I would buy my Aunt's sprawling splanch in the Audobon Woods section of Huntington, which is up for sale but I can't afford.
2. If money were no object and I didn't have to stay on Long Island - I would buy all my father's property upstate plus the people who live next to him and renovate one of the old farmhouses.

i think i'd want to stay in FL - i really like it here...
i think i'd want a farmhouse style house but on a lake or with a nature preserve in the back like i have now...def would love a farmhouse style kitchen & a mudroom...nice base and crown moldings, built ins, wainscotting, distressed wood floors...

Well instead of living in a tiny 2 bedroom house in the west end of long beach I would choose one that's literally on the beach or a house in Rockville center with a wrap around Porch and huge property!

1. A big colonial that I have my eye on around the corner from where I live now in Islip.
2. A 3 bedroom apartment in the West Village.
3. A big tudor house in Foxrock, Dublin.
