moms of 2-3 month olds... holiday question

what are you doing about the holidays? meaning, with DC's sleep schedule (whatever kind of schedule there may be lol)

of course im not going to leave my family's house early to put DS to bed or anything, but we just started with a bedtime routine that seems to be working out really well with helping DS to sleep better.. im wondering how everyone is going to handle being out late at family's houses

DS would transfer fine from the carseat to the crib up until 8 months old. At easter he was around 3m old and was totally fine, he slept in the bassinet at my moms.

I am not worrying about this to be honest! I am trying to get him on a schedule too (he usually goes down at 8). I am just hoping the few late nights won't effect his schedule. I plan to bring the moses basket wherever we go and just do the same routine and put him down in the moses basket. He will definitely wake up when i transfer him in and out of the carseat but he will go right back to bed. DS is 3 months... will be 4 months at Christmas!

DD can fall asleep in my arms in the middle of a parade LOL so I am just bringing the stroller to put her down after she falls asleep

I'm not really worried- we are just trying a schedule (well I am, lol, DH works nights and has a different idea) But I try to feed DS around 8/8:30 and put him in the swing. Then I transfer him to his crib when I go to bed. For T-giving, he can sleep in my arms. For Christmas Eve, we'll be at my parents' and they have all the baby stuff, so I'm not worried. Christmas will be an early night because DH has to work.

Thanksgiving I'm having here at home so that should be easier although dd needs it to be very quite to sleep. My dd has no schedule truthfully I'm happy if she sleeps 3 hrs in a row. For Christmas we are going to my Aunts so I think I'm just going to bring her bouncy seat with me and I'll put her in there when she goes off.

I don't think one night is really going to ruin your routine so I would just do what you have to and enjoy the Holidays

We don't really have a set schedule, DS will get a bath and have his last bottle around 9:30-10:00 and then we all go to bed, but there have been plenty of times when we are out and DS did not get his usual routine. The next night we just went back to it and he was fine.

i guess i'll bring the PNP to my grandmas for xmas eve... ds always falls asleep in the car so im worried about transfering him from the car to his crib when we get home... i've never done it before & im afraid he will wake up & not go back down
