If your 2 year old started preschool this fall...
....do they know the names of kids in their class yet?
DS started preschool in September and still doesn't know the names of kids in his class. His teacher says he is quiet and likes to play on his own---I can't help but feel sad for him. I was shy and I know how hard it can be. But the weird thing is I feel like this is out of no where--this is the same kid who has his good buddies in the neighborhood, goes up to kids at the park and asks to play....I don't get it. If you saw my other post, they are having some issues with one other child in his class and his teacher feels my son maybe feeling a little stress from that. I am just tryiing to figure this out.

no way.. dd is also shy. but i ask her "was emma in class today?" and she repeats the names, which she likes to do

yes, he knows everyones name and talks about his friends all the time.

She says the same 3 names if I ask her what the names are of the kids in the class. Then I have to say the rest of the names.
