What color cabinets?
We are beginning our mini makeover on the kitchen. Need opinions on cabinet color. I am painting the walls white most likely since I have left over paint and we can't change out the counter which is yellow so figured white is the way to go.
We purchased a new fan as well.
How it is:
We have a new black fridge now so this was the old one:
What i am putting down: Peel and stick 
UPDATE:
DH saw the photos and he said black. Thanks girls I am glad i did this since i may do the tin panel *faux to bring costs down since I have to buy black paint now. This is a $250 renn. Now I need to figure out what to do with knobs.

I'd do the cabinets a pale blue with vintage cup pulls for hardware, white subway tile backsplash and I'd replace the ceiling fan with a chandelier. I think you could turn it into a very charming kitchen.

Yea I wanted colbolt blue cabinets with the tin backsplash (they didn't have peel and stick subway tiles and I didn't want to invest in actual tiles since we plan to redo the kitchen in 5-7 years) but hubby said no to blue he said only black or white. He stinks!
Def. no chandelier we have no exhaust fan so we need a fan in the kitchen so i got a vintage looking one.

I love the look of black cabinets so I voted black but I don't know how that would look with your yellow counters...
I'd just go white to be on the safe side...

We have a "faux" tin backsplash...its from Lowes. No one can ever tell they arent real tin. They are 12x12 sheets we just attached with liquid nails and some finishing nails. Under $50 for the whole kitchen.

What if you paint the walls grey? So its not so white on white and stark? Plus itll tie the tin backsplash in.
Obviously this isnt your kitchen, but just to see the pallet.

You know the peel and stick cost $160 i may return them and do the sheets because we though the sheets would be too much. VERY cool thank you!
I did a 10 min quick photoshop of what it should look like. I still like the blue maybe i can sell it to dh.

What about trying grey for the cabinets?
Or like Eddiesmommy said...maybe grey on the walls.

I just did the same exact thing with the SAME exact counter color. I painted them white and we HATE HATE HATE it!!! we just placed an order for a new kitchen yesterday because we can't even live with it anymore!! Don't do white!! I should post pictures but its really embarrassing how terrible it looks!

i know its breaking my heart i want blue SOOO Bad. I mean its so perfect and a bit funky i mean this is when you can be funky. He really wants black. Perhaps I will get a small can of blue and just do one blue and say oh its so pretty!
BTW i am doing all the painting, putting the floor/backsplash etc.

No way would I compromise on this, but my DH acknowledged a long time ago that home design and decorating is my department, not his.
The blue is worth fighting for. The black cabinets with black appliances and the black in the floor is too much—the blue warms it all up.
