Window Treatment help!
I need some help and suggestions with what to do with this window in my kitchen. I am thinking some sort of valence, but have no clue of color or kind or where to look. We are also thinking of something to hang on top of the window area..?? I am clueless and need some ideas!

I have the same dilemma and I think I am going to put roman shades with a matching valance.

If you don't need privacy or light control I would just do a straight valance and I would hang it high, the hem touching the top of the window frame. This way you get the full light/view from the window and you don't have to put anything else up there.

Privacy and light control both are not an issue. This is purely for decoration. Anyone have examples or ideas for me?

Thats a gorgeous cornice! I have something similar(box cornice) in my kitchen and believe it or not I found 2 valances at Target for 14.99 each. These valances are longer than most(19"). It looks like you need the longer ones like I did. I think they are a lot prettier in person than online  For $40 you can be done with your cafe rod and valances LOL
