Sellers -- closing costs?
What closing costs does the seller pay? Is there a way to estimate them (roughly) as a percentage of purchase price, like you can do with buyer closing costs?
We just want to be prepared when the time comes!

For the closing I just did, the seller had to pay for satisfaction of the deed/mortgage, which is $210 and an escrow service fee of $75. I believe, but I'm not 100%, that those are set fees. Then, they also had to pay NYS transfer tax. I'm assuming that is a certain percentage of the sale of the house.
Additionally, if you are in arrears for taxes or any liens on the property, those costs are incorporated into the title fees.

I can't remember what our closing costs were as sellers -- I'm just being nosy.
