SPR: Heat in your little ones room
So DD's room is the first room to get heat, so it gets hot in there. We tried to manually turn it down and it helped a little (not a sauna anymore) but to me it still feels to warm when I go get he in the morning. We cannot keep her door open since her room is right across from ours and we have a ranch. Any other ideas as to what I can do to keep her room cooler?

A fan to keep the air moving? But I would keep the door open at least half way...

Open a window?
I would love to do this, but we have a ranch and DD's window faces the backyard, so I would be way to nervous!

I may start leaving her ceiling fan on low just to keep stuff circulating...

I am glad you asked this question. We have the same issue. What are you putting DD to sleep in for bed? I was doing a long sleeve onsie and a fleece swaddle sleep sack. I also have her cool mist humidifier running. We can not leave the door open either because of the dog

Dog here too....he is another reason
I usually put her in cotton feety pjs and a fleece sleepsak...but now with the heat on, I worry about her being too hot

Re: SPR: Heat in your little ones room
Can you turn down the heat and get an electric heater or an electric blanket for your room?

Re: SPR: Heat in your little ones room
we keep ds's ceiling fan on low & i leave the door open & that does the trick!
we too have a dog AND cat... i've been putting a pet gate in front of the doorway so they dont go into ds's room & its been working out great!
i've been putting ds to bed in a long sleeve white onsie & nothing else bc i use the fleece swaddle me -- its been keeping him nice & warm without overheating him... i feel its not THAT cold yet for other pjs!

Re: SPR: Heat in your little ones room
What type of heating do you have? You might be able to bypass some of the heat going to that room. Closing vents if it's forced air. Replacing radiators with smaller ones, etc.

Re: SPR: Heat in your little ones room
Same problem here. I closed her vent halfway, and have her ceiling fan on low the opposite way just to circulate the air. I have to keep her door shut or the dog wakes her up. The pet gate didn't work he is a giant loud lab. I put her in fleece feetie pjs, or cotton pjs w/ a short sleeve onesie. Her room goes between 69-74 at night as the heat comes on & off.
