I didn't vote because I was skew the answers..
$149K - San Antonio, TX (pretty nice area, smallish house by comparison to the area but still decent)
So my house is technically expensive but not outrageous. I found the same house in a good neighborhood for about $30k less (plus it had nearly HALF the taxes) but my house was/is in a much better school district and more 'level' (literally - the other one had a steep yard).

we bought ours in 2009 for $173,000
it is a 2 bedroom condo in Howard Beach
we really got a steal because the sellers were desperate - it was in perfect condition
