washer
the water wont empty out of my washer... i dont know why... i dont think i did anything different... but my mind is elsewhere recently...
anyone else experience this?

sounds broken. this only has happened when something was wrong. DH usually handled it, so IDK what he did.

I just thought of something,
did you by any chance over stuff it?
sometimes that happens when you overstuff it. This has happened to use more than once.. and the first time it worked again... we just restarted it and it fixed itself. another time we needed a new one.

It happened to mine. It wound up being the switch that detects if the door is closed or not. It will fill with water with the door opened, but it won't actually wash or drain. I unscrewed two screws, took the sensor and tied it temporarily to the "closed door" position, and it worked fine. I then ordered a replacement switch for a few dollars. Saved several hundred dollars by just checking a few things.
Also make sure the drain isn't clogged. A clogged drain will prevent the water from draining.
Stay next to the washer during a cycle (you can manually advance the dial during the longer parts, since you aren't actually washing anything), and see what's happening at each cycle. It obviously fills, but see if the drum spins to clean, and see if it tries to drain (listen for noises), see if it it tries to spin dry the clothes, etc.
That's what I did to figure out where the problem was.
