WWYD?? Bringing baby to shower..

So, I have a baby shower on Saturday and my 11 month old dd is invited. At forst I was pretty excited to bring her, especially since I am only going to know 2 other people there so at least she will be a distraction from feelin like I'm there alone, lol. But the more that I think about it, the more I think it will be more of a pain and I don't know if I want to have to worry about it. She is at the point that she always wants to get down and crawl on the floor - and I just think I am going to go out of my mind trying to keep her in one spot and behaved at a restaruant for 4 hours!
WWYD?

-there will only be 2 other children there and one is much older and one much younger-- so no one for her to play with.

Thanks!

I think you should use this as Mommy time. My DD is at the age where all she wants to do is crawl around too, and I know I wouldnt want to have to keep her "contained" at a restaurant for 4 hours. Go yourself and enjoy!!!

Re: WWYD?? Bringing baby to shower..

I would leave her at home.

My DD is 10.5 months and I totally know about the whole wanting to be on the floor thing. My DD will actually try to leap out of your arms if she sees something she wants to go get!

I think it will not be a relaxing time for you if you bring her! Enjoy some time to yourself!

I remember that age and I know it's hard so I might consider leaving her home. How old is the older one though? I feel like a lot of times the older ones like to "take care" the little ones.

If I was the one the baby shower was for, I would Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to see a little baby there in attendance!

However, if you need a break, feel free to do so and have a good time!

True, but OP said she will only know 2 other people there. I don't know that I would want to be passing my baby around to a whole bunch of people that I don't know. KWIM?
