just some advice I learned with red walls: you should prime in a gray color. it helps the red show truer and with less coats...

i like it with similar decor as you posted.. big crown moulding in a bright white...and pretty accessories like that..
but not sure if id like it otherwise

I had a behr paint color called opera Red that looked similar in my townhouse bedroom.
Maybe I am a freak, but I swear I never slept soundly in that room after I painted it. I lived there for years & always slept like a baby until I went with the red.
I was going to say the same thing. I painted my room a cranberry color in high school and I was never relaxed and ALWAYS hungry.
It's a beautiful color though.

Ohhhh NOOO! Sorry. I do know it took several coats, but it sounds like he didn't do the greatest job. I promise, when it is done right, it is beautiful.

I didnt use this color but I used BM Tuscon Red in my kitchen and I love it. I'm pretty surprised the Aura didn't cover well. It only took one coat with the Aura to do my kitchen.

it could take as many as 5 coats. I don't care what kind of paint it is, its very hard to get full coverage with red.
the primer should have been gray, or tinted to a redish color before he started
