Bow Windows -What color sill?
We just got a bow window put in. Did you stain the sill and if so, top, side, and bottom OR paint it white. Trying to decide what would be best.

I dont' have a bow window, but if we didn't rent that would be the first thing we would do. We have a set of windwos just like a bow, but just not the bow part HAHA.
I would paint it or stain it to match the molding and trim. Like if everything is white, then I would make it white... just b/c I'm anal about everything matching perfectly. But I know I have seen it with white trim and stained for the bow part and still looked nice... so either or LOL

ours was dark stain to match the rest of the molding when we purchased the house, all our molding is white/trim white so we changed the window to white. But my parents have wood molding/trim in one room that is stained wood and in another room all white. So i guess match what is in the rest of the room.

We have ours stained with a "cherry" stain. It matches our floors. I love how it looks!
ETA: The whole thing is stained...top, sides, in between each window and sill.

We have Bay windows.... same concept, though. We have the sills (all the wood around the windows... top, bottom, side, etc) stained to match the trim.

We have the sill and all the moldings of our bow window stained in Minwax Natural. We like light wood.
