BM Million Dollar Red.** UPDATE.***
I'm pretty upset. I'm seeing red, no pun intended. I hired a guy to paint it, as the room is large & high ceilings and I wanted it to look good. Well, I bought the primer/Aura BM of the paint and he did 3 coats. But, as a painter, he sucked BIG TIME. I have spots near the top of the wall that are lighter than others. Oh, and paint on the carpeting. Which is getting ripped up, but still.
Also, I went to pull down my blinds and they fell off when I barely touched it - he must have dismantled something and never put it back right.
The color is pretty bright red, but I don't know if that is because he rushed..it seemed he didn't wait for the paint to dry between coats.
I will be calling him tomorrow, but I will post pics next week of it.
I am doing the master bedroom this color tomorrow.....so risky of me.  I am so worried, as I tend to always desire bold colors but pansy out and get neutral.... wish me luck!!!
I picked this color because on another thread, avamamma mentioned she did it in her bedroom and loved it..
does anyone else have this color?

I really like the color but I personally would not put this my bedroom. its way too bold. I like my bedroom to relax in and feel calm. that would not let me relax
I would totally do this in a kitchen though

That's what I thought too.. but then again, I wanted to have something kind of sexy and dramatic.. I don't know if you can spice things up with paint colors, but I will let you know how it goes! Maybe I will be on to something here....

I would never have thought to do red - I'm kind of wishing I picked that color for my Master which I am going to finish tomorrow - I think it's gonna look great!!

I had a behr paint color called opera Red that looked similar in my townhouse bedroom.
Maybe I am a freak, but I swear I never slept soundly in that room after I painted it. I lived there for years & always slept like a baby until I went with the red.

Great color! I say go for it!!
I usually stick to neautrals too, and when I see HGTV I keep thinking, wow, that looks awesome, I need to do that. Finally, I go risky and did a very simular color to that for our kitchen... and we have some fancy white trim, so it really pops. I love it!

years ago in our old apt we painted our LR like a burnt orange, and I still miss it! Currently my LR is beige ( ) and it bothers me to no end!!!!

I always remember you did orange and I loved it...I'm thinking of that for another room.
Our styles sound similar....while my LR is beige (it was like that when we moved in and was a brand new coat of paint, so we left it) my sofas are red, and all of our LR accessories are red/burnt orange and brown. Our MR is painted Chocolate brown with a burnt orange comforter. I think of it as more warm, rather than bold and jarring.
go for it, I highly doubt youll regret it.

love the color!!!!! I also took a risk and did my entire main floor a BM color called Warmed cognac..its a dark terracotta but it looks amazing and everyone loves it..enjoy your new room!!!

I just painted a room red (Sherwin Williams Roycroft Adobe) & love it. It's not my bedroom though.
It isn't as orange as it looks in this picture.
