There are birds living in my air conditioner!

We have in wall units (we are in a co-op) and two years ago, fabulous ( ) Fairfield, our property management company, decided they would no longer cover the outsides of them come the fall.

Well now a family of birds have pulled the grate off the back of it and have moved in. Its the A/C in my MBR. So they wake up at 5am and are SO LOUD! Plus, Im afraid they will accidentally knock the inside cover off the A/C and then I will have birds in my room.

On the flip side, if they are nesting, I dont want to disturb the little babies.

Ive called Fairfield, who as usual, have not called back and not done ANYTHING. Is there anything I can do? I cant access the back of the unit bc its 3 floors up from the ground.

tape the front cover on so they can't knock it off and come in. And I don't believe this is the time of year to have babies, but I could be wrong. they are probably just looking for a sheltered place since the leaves are falling off the trees now.

I have birds in my AC too They start tweeting @ 5/6 am and you can hear them flap their wings. I told my landlord to just remove the whole wall unit, esp. since the winter is coming and its gonna bring a draft anyway. We even told him we'll buy a window unit AC and leave it when we move!! Also, my dad is super handy and he would sheet rock the wall and everything...He is soooo cheap he wants to hold on to that shityy AC unit.

I cant wait until I have my own house and can make my owen LOGICAL decisions.

Yes, make sure you put up a stink, you do not want mites in your house!!!!

Please get rid of them! My friend had bird mites and it was worse than bedbugs. They were all over her clothes..in the walls etc. She had to move out till the work was corrected!

Does your coop have a contract with an exterminator? Some exterminators do bird control. I know of one that does. FM if you need their info.

OMG, this is freaking me out.....I just thought it was annoying they were LOUD! EWWWW!!!!!!

Fairfield is coming on Friday to take a look and see if its "their responsibility" @ssholes.....ummm,yes, there is a hole in the siding where they are getting in....your responsibility.

Can you see the mites if they get in?
