Glittering your walls?
I was surfing the Benj Moore site and learned of some cool options & effects for painting walls:
One was glitter!!!!
they said it looks great to put it near where scones or table lamps will draw out the shine, and looks great with candlelight "which emphasize its twinkling, reflective qualities."
I was thinking of doing a subtle swirl for the dining room where the scones are..I also use tons of candles, so I would think it would look good.
What do you think? Here is a pic of it they showed on the site:

well, the benjamin moore pic didn't show them, but I'm looking to get a pair of these bad boys to hang on the wall...i think they will add great ambience!

My first thought on this is oh did my kids get into the art supply bin without me knowing?!? I think if it was done strategically and well it might be nice, but it could be a recipe for disaster, like scones (sconces)

yeah, i'm not sure yet...i'm a risk taker usually, but i gotta think this one over. I thought just a few subtle swirls near 2 sconces , and maybe above on the ceiling where the chandelier hangs.
i don't think it's like huge glitter pieces, but more just sparkles, but we will see...

When we were looking at homes, we saw a home that did this, and I must say I looooved it...it looked sooo unusual and not over the top at all, they did it over a very very rich tan and gold, it was stunning!
Can you send me the link to where on the BM site that is bc I was searching and couldn't find it!!!

DH's friend has a glitter-filled wall in his house! I fell in love with it! DH saw glitter at home depot during one of our many trips. I really want to put glitter somewhere, but how do you do and I couldn't decide where? we have already painted part of the house, so I don't know if we'd be able to do it now. I think it's awesome!!

I think Behr makes a glitter additive. A graphic designer I use used it in her new office on the ceiling and it looks really cool.
ETA - It's Valspar not Behr.

Thanks!! I think if I hadn't seen it in a home I'd think what is this chick crazy to put glitter on her walls, but I must say it was sooooo subtle yet at the same time added a bit of uniqueness in the room...I loved it!!!

it's funny you mention tan and gold, because that is the color of my dining room and that's the look i'd go for@

I have something similar it's called candlelight by Ralph Lauren. It adds a shimmer to the wall. I like it because it's subtle. I def wouldn't cover all the walls in my house with it though. candlelight
