my DS is same age as yours, he had 2 lumps like that. I took him to the doctor she said it was nothing to worry about that many babies get those little "lymph nodes". they are very small, kind of hard, and you can push them around a little bit

Re: lump in DS' neck ...

Hi Karin! I know first hand how scary that is. I found the same thing on Ryan when he was about Jack's age, maybe younger. It was nothing to worry about according to our Pediatrician. I think he said possibly a calcium deposit. He said if it can be kind of moved around (not like you can move it from one spot to another, but just you can kind of wiggle it around) it's nothing to worry about. Ryan still has it and he is 4, sometimes it seems bigger/smaller than other times, but it still worries me. I trust my Dr, he has never steered me wrong, but still you see a lump and you worry. If I can help at all please fell free to FM me.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My sister had something like this when she was younger and the doctor said it was nothing to worry about. It eventually went away.

Re: lump in DS' neck ...

Travis has the same thing. I was so nervous. The pediatrician said its a lymph node and not to worry unless it gets bigger or changes color. So now I am obsessed with checking it. Chat Icon
