a few times aweek but I have to tell u I bought swiffer sweeper vac which really cut my vaccuming time down. I don't have to use the huge vac anymore - it's great!

one way or another, daily.

windex: daily

mop: 2x a week

vac: every other day and always before people come over

bathrooms: 2x a week

washing sheets: 2x a week

laundry: daily

dusting: daily

make the bed: everyday

dishes: daily or every use

i'm anal about cleaning, everything needs to be spotless.

i keep up with things so much that i really only have to do an all-over, no stone unturned deep clean about 2x a month. i probably could go longer but i'm such a clean-freak that i can't wait.

once a week and i plan on doing steam cleaning soon (that i haven't done yet and we will be in the house a year next month) i even do windows every other week but slacked this month gotta do them this week.

i try to straighten up everyday, but days that i am off at least one of them is a totally cleaning /laundry/errand day. then the rest i can just vegg and catch up on my shows

I just want to update everyone that I cleaned my kitchen last night.

I plan on doing my bathrooms this evening.

dusting - once a week
vaccumming - once a day
bathroom - every couple of days
kitchen - every day
dishes - twice a day
laundry - at least one load a day
pretty much every day i do something

DAILY:
Kitchen counters, stovetop - daily
The whole house: Beds made, Straighten up. Clothes, Shoes, Dishwasher, Toys, paperwork, junk mail, everything else that creates 'clutter'. I hate clutter.


Kitchen floors - sweep daily, wash every 3 days.

fridge & Microwave- 1x per week

General Dusting & Windexing: 1x per week

Bathrooms: 2x per week. wipe toilets, sinks and counters down every day

Vacummining (den): 3x per week


Floor & Door Moldings: every 2 weeks

Hardwood Floors: 1x per week Sweep & Swiffer. Mop w/ bleach & water every 2 weeks. Entry Hall & Stairs I do every few days. The rest of the house is usually no shoes. (my living room is not on my main floor, I have a splanch, and my dining room on the main floor is never used unless we have company)

Deep Clean - 1x per month.... under the beds, window moldings, ceiling fans, inside the china cabinet, chandliers, reorganize closets (clothes, pantry, clothing draws)

Garage & Basement: Every 2 months. They seem to be the most disorganized. Use a tool, forget to put it away. Put odd paperwork on the desk in the basement when company comes, forget to file it ... etc ... so DH & I clean everything out and reorganize about every 2 months.


Laundry: Tuesday's and Friday's ... done until the basket is empty.



Backyard: Toys go away every night. Patio gets swept & hosed down every 2 weeks. Pool was cleaned 1x per week, lawn is mowed 1x per week.



If company is coming, I do all of the above. If company shows up unexpected, they may see papers on my kitchen table and the den full of toys, otherwise, I don't think anyone would say my house is ever dirty/dusty/disorganized.

My house gets a totaly cleaning every two weeks when my cleaning lady comes. I do however wipe down counters and keep the house clean inbetween their visit.

i'm trying to do it every weekend but that doesn't happen. we have someone do a deep clean every other week.

every single day I do a clean up and a major cleaning twice a week (usually friday mornings so I don't have to worry about it over the weekend.)

With my job I am out of the house for 12 hours a day but I always clean the counters after dinner and do dishes and sometimes even a load of laundry. Clutter is nonexistent too. Every weekend I dust, swiffer, clean 2 bathrooms, basic kitchen clean and laundry. Only once in a while I do a major clean of the inside of cabinets, reorganize closets, etc. I don't want a cleaning lady b/c I would rather clean and then spend the $ at a restaurant or somewhere!

I clean for a living - I am a custodian - so when I get home I really dont want to have to clean the house too. We use to have someone come clean but havent been able to find someone we really like since our last cleaning woman doesnt do it anymore. I try to clean once a week. I cleaned the downstairs last weekend. I have to clean the upstairs, but with the baby always taking naps it has been hard to find the time. I dont want to disrupt her....

I don't. My house is a mess, but I'm so busy I don't care. I'd rather spend time talking with my DH, doing things with my kids or reading. I do keep up with the laundry and our sheets and towels are always clean. I actually enjoy ironing and, rather than just ironing one or two items when they are needed, I settle in with the TV or a movie on and iron for an hour and a half. I can get an enormous amount done. Dust on the floor doesn't bother me ... much. I do get occasional guilt pangs, but I have learned to get over them quickly as I move on to something more important. Of course, after reading all these postings by neat ladies, I am feeling guilty. I guess I'll have to do some serious tidying tomorrow, if I can work it in. The day promises to be fairly full already.

Sundays are the big cleaning day

After every meal the kitchen gets cleaned and tables get wiped down

We run the dishwasher 4-5x per week

We're just not bothered by clutter... so I try to organize it once per week

DH will vacuum/swiffer the floors when I ask him, which is about twice per week.

I try to make the bed every day.

The bathrooms get cleaned once per week.

If people come over we clean before and after that too.

We're clean... we're just not very neat.

Not enough! hahah I try to do a big clean weekly or biweekly, but life gets in the way. I dont like coming from work and having to clean, but I also hate spending my time on the weekends cleaning.

Lately, I've been trying to do a little bit here and there to keep up with it and not have to spend hours doing a huge cleanup.
