I have had fios for the past year and a half and LOVE it, it took a while to get used to, but they offer more channels and are not as difficult to deal with.
I will NEVER go back to cable

ITA. I don't care if it costs more for me next year once the promotional rate is up; I'll never go back to cable.

I haaaaaaaaaate Optimum, the guide takes 3 days to load, it takes forever to change channels...etc
When I moved back to LI I got Fios and we are OBSESSED.

Switched to Fios about a month and a half ago and will NEVERRRR go back to Cable!! Our bill is $70 cheaper and we get so much more for our money!!!

Switched to FIOS on 9/22 and LOVE it! Much better! Will never switch back, no matter how good a deal CB might entice us with!

We switched to FiOS about a month ago. It's much cheaper than what we were paying and for the same stuff. We have a promotional rate for 6 months then another promotional rate for the following 18 months.

We switched to FIOS in September and it's way cheaper the picture is super clear. We locked in our rate for two years.
In addition, They must hire the rudest meanest people EVER to work at Cablevision every time I call there I have the worst customer service experience ever. I won't go back ever... even if they give us service for free.

They are both relatively similar in my book. I had Cable - switched to Fios and then went back to cable because it was cheaper.
Yeah - cable takes longer to load sometimes but television is a convenience and I'm just not willing to shell out extra money so I can change the channels faster.
I also had a MAJOR problem with Fios - and have recently discovered that many people have experienced the exact same issue relative to billing.

FIOS. We got it almost 4 years ago when we first bought our house - one of the first in the neighborhood to have it. We got a great deal but after a year the bill went up so much and cablevision was offering a promo that was too good to turn down so I switched. Big mistake. A few months later FIOS offered us an amazing deal to return so we did. I believe that more often than not, you get what you pay for. I will be sticking with FIOS after our promo runs out, even though it will then be more than cable. the features are awesome and the service is great!
