What is this plant?
i have already pulled this out once, and it came back and looks like this again!
what the heck is this thing?

ew! i hate hostas! it has this vegetabley looking stem. almost like a rudebaga (HUH? don't know how to spell that...)....
i thought it was like a squash plant or something. it's very odd. i tore this thing down to nothing and just days later it was back and pretty full already!

i dont think thats a hosta. you're right though- it does look like a vegetable. i would almost guess some type of lettuce... they grow in really fast since they are meant to be picked at the dirt level..

It looks like it could be a perennial that's listed on this site:
(the last one at the bottom, called "Telekia speciosa")

That's not a hosta. It looks like a form of milkweed. What were the stems like? Woody? Or were they green and lush?
