I do. I don't write checks because I hate waiting for them to clear but I use my transaction register. I am very anal about making sure the register matches what it says online. I always have to know exactly how much I have in my checking account.

I don't do online banking.
I still don't trust it to be completely secure.

Nope, I do too. I write everything in my checkbook and balance it out every month. I like having that second check on the bank and vice versa.

nope i do
i pay all our bills online (except for a few minor ones) but still balance the checkbook every month for both the joint account and my personal account.
It's something i need to do

We still use checks & I still balance the checking accounts. We have our own individual ones & our joint one. We also use on-line banking too.
My job is accounts payable so if everyone only used on-line banking I would probablly be out of a job.

I balance my checkbook, but I do it in Excel and not in my checkbook register.
I use online banking and online bill pay for all of our household bills, but I pay all of my horse-related bills with checks... so I write a good number of checks every month.

no esp bc we use debit card for everything. we are really bad I can't keep track !!! I only write out 1 check per month everything else paid online

I dont understand how quicken works. How do you keep track of all the transactions that you do?
I really want to not have a checkbook but cant figure out how to do it.

I don't have Quicken, but I do use a Computer softwareto keep track of our banking. You enter transactions like you would in a check register ( date, amount, payee) but the software is set up to do fancy things like sort your transactions into categories & show youcharts of how much money spend.
We never write checks on the go. If we are writing a check & don't have the computer on, we actually write in on the back of the check book (DH has tiny handwriting!). I don't debit often, but if I do, I keep those receopts & ATM receipts in a envelope & DH enters them once a week.

I do and for the past 4 1/2 years, I've been able to balance it to the penny (I've had many checking accounts and have never been able to).

I don't use my checkbook at all. I write maybe 4 checks per year, and they have the carbon copies in there so I don't do anything else.

Yep and I write out checks too. My checkbook is always balanced to the penny but thats cuz I'm OCD about stuff like that.
