gas hook up and tipping question
So we got a new washer and dryer today and after over a week of having no washer and dryer I need to do some serious laundry. We have a gas line but it needs to be run to the washer and dryer (my last dryer was electric). We also wanted him to run it up to the kitchen so one day we could have a gas stove. He'll also be hooking up the washer. He's charging us  but I'm paying it because I really need the washer and dryer hooked up today. I'm also not really sure what it normally costs to do this type of work but I'm pretty sure we're being overcharged. Do I have to tip this guy too and if so what would you recommend?

Is he an independant contractor or does he work for a company? If indepenant I wouldn't tip him. If he works for someone I would tip him about $25. Honestly, it gets ridiculous with tips when you're doing a ton of work in your house and have a constant parade of contractors.

thank you! He does work for someone and all I have is $20 so hopefully that isn't an insult.
