In-ground Sprinklers - Winter
Hello! Do you get your in-ground sprinklers blown out before temps hit freezing? If so, do you use a company and when do you do it?

Always always always do this!!!!!! You have to otherwise they'll freeze and break.

Yes, we have our landscaper blow them out when he does the fall cleanup.

if you have a compressor its really easy to do. I actually did it myself when i saw we were hitting freezing temps and dh was working

Its funny because after I saw this post I said to DH we have to make the appt to get the sprinklers blown out...
his reply "oh they're coming tomorrow, you have to be home by 630"

We do this usually towards the end of October. We have a sprinkler company do the opening & closing because our system is old - previous homeowner installed. The sprinkler company inspects the system. We use McCormick Irrigation - they're a vendor on here.
