Question- does everyone still use a checkbook?
Like if you do online banking....do you still keep tract on every transaction in your checkbook record???

For the very few checks I write, I mentally keep note of them... I dont know what I'd do without online banking! its soooo wonderful

I use quicken as my checkbook. However, when I write a check out and I am not home I write it in my register so I know the check number and amount.

I was never good at keeping a check register so online banking is like a dream for me. I only write about 10-15 checks a year now so I just mentally deduct the amount from my balance.

And I check my bank balance online anyway. I also use quicken...

I keep track via quicken.
Although DH and I try to pay as much as we can with our CC so we have fewer payments coming out of our account each month.

we record actual checks in the check book but do not keep it balanced since we do everything online. We do not fill record online payments in the checkbook

I have the carbon copy checks to that is how I keep track.

I use duplicates, but don't write in the record.
I actually have to write a check to day care every week, so I constantly have it with me.

I do too. I only write one check per month, but I use my debit card daily. I actually just use one of those small memo notebooks and deduct from there. The one notebook lasts me like a year.

I still keep a checkbook and I dont know how to stop. 
I dont understand how quicken works. How do you keep track of all the transactions that you do?
I really want to not have a checkbook but cant figure out how to do it.
Any advice?
