need your creative help - shower invitation wording

I will not be having a traditional shower, but more of just a get together for friends and family - both men and women. It will be at our house on a Saturday night - lots of food and drinks. There won't be any games and mostly likely no present opening - it will just be like other parties we have thrown.

My dilemma is what kind of invite to send. I don't want to use the word shower since I don't want to scare the guys off and I don't want to give the impression that there will be shower like activities taking place.

Any creative thoughts on how to word the invite? I am terrible at this stuff!

I was thinking someting like:
J and M are expecting!
Come celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby L with us on date, time, etc.

but that seems a little boring.

Our friends had a "stock the bar" party instead of a wedding shower. I feel like you could do something like that... of course "stock the bar" wouldn't really work...

I've heard of a Diaper Dump Day where people come over and bring diapers and it's like an open house. But what you're talking about is an all out party...

Maybe you should write something like "Help us party before we have a bedtime to observe!" or "Time to trash our place before it smells like dirty diapers!" or "We're not parents yet -- one last crazy night before we have to answer to our child!"
