The separation anxiety/dropping off at daycare thing...
Just curious what your experiences have been like...
Riley protests every time...granted we've been to daycare one full week and a few random days. At least she's not sad all day long, crying every time the door opens like she was in the beginning.
But every morning, it's still bad. She always cries. Today was worse than it's been...clung to me and hit her teachers if they came after her.
At least it's gotten better during the day and I know she's happy, but...
how long will this drop off thing last? Do your kids protest all the time, you walk away, they're fine, and that's the way it is? Or did the drop off thing eventually get easier?

It'll get better 
Mason's been in daycare since he was 4 months almost. Obviously was fine that young and did great every time I dropped him off. since we moved and started at a new place it's a little harder. He's just starting to get used to it. Takes time. DH now drops him off and I used to so it's been a lot of changes for him. DH also said he gets a little weepy in the mornings, but I call in the afternoon and they say he's fine.
Plus, when I pick him up I always see him happy and playing.
One day she's gonna run into her class and won't look back.

I think it's different for me because DD has been going to the same place pretty much 5 days a week since she was 12 weeks old. She is now 16 months.
She literally walks in there like she owns the joint. She's got her little swagger and the group of kids in the a.m. is always the same. She gives them all hugs and they sit in there highchairs and share Cheerios. It's actually pretty awesome to see.
Riley will be back to the swing of things in no time!!

Thanks babe I figured it would get better...and to be honest, I was getting used to her protesting/crying and I left okay with it knowing she's recover quickly. But today was just a bad one. So I wondered if there were kids who just did it every day and that was just part of the 'routine.' I just never expected to get worse, ya know?

Like the PP said it'll happen, but she's got to get back into a new routine.
I heard Mason's friend at the old daycare he was at is having a hard to readjusting too b/c his mom's a teacher and he was out all summer.
Mason was great at the old one and now he just have to get into the swing of things at this one. When DH said he was sad dropping him off I felt bad, but I know he'll love it soon. I hear during the day he is so happy. Plus, his cousin works there so she spies for me

Sorry I wish I knew.. and i wish someone would give me the answers. They tell me its just her age (2). I don't know. She cries, kicks and protests every morning when we drop her off.
This is a new place for her. Started on Aug 16 and its still a hassle a month later. But she loves the school and has fun during the day and now doesn't even want to come home.
The mornings are murder.

I'm sorry hon...I knew that was going on with you...has it gotten any better or is it still the same? It's crazy because I'm sure she's having a ball when she's there! It's like they know exactly what they're doing to us...
