Need help finding a hall for christening in Nassau
I just did the guest list for Kayla's christening and we are at about 185 people.
I need to find someplace that will hold at least 150 people.
Please help before I lose my mind. I am open to all suggestions. TIA!

i think i am cutting it close for catering halls. the baptism is nov. 21. i would think most places would be booked by now for that date.

Do you think you would be better at a VFW hall or a KoC? I know there is a Knights of Columbus in Oceanside that caters - there is also one i think in Seaford. I think Elks clubs aslo cater. Otehrwise would you rent a hall and have catering come in?

You might not be... My mom planned my shower at Westbury Manor like 5 weeks before the date, and she sent the invites out the next day!
ETA... You get SOOOOO MUCH for your money there... I honestly didn't want my shower there, but I am so happy we did have it after it was all over.
Good Luck!

I have no problems bringing my own food in.

Actually, because it is so close, you should try the catering halls. If they aren't booked, they will give you a great deal - they know at this point no one will be booking a wedding!
Good luck!

Q-
also try Fox Hollow, Crest Hollow (both are in woodbury). Check out the Main Maid Inn. My baby shower was there and it was great (just not sure how big the rooms are).

I would definitely try all of the catering halls. Fox Hollow is my fav since that's where I got married. You can also call around to different VFWs and KoCs. We had DDs at the KoC in Hicksville years ago. The room was huge and they cater it for you at a very reasonable price. All we had to do was decorate and bring in desserts. It was great. What part of Nassau are you looking for? We could probably give more suggestions if you had an area in mind.

Re: Need help finding a hall for christening in Nassau
It's not Nassau, but western suffolk - we used the Woodlands on the Greens in Melville. They are the same caterers as the Woodlands at the mansion in woodbury. We were really happy with their service and their prices! It's a golf course, residence with a ballroom. I don't have time to post a link now, but if you can't find info on google, fm me and I'll send you the link later! or search my prev posts, I've posted a link before. I have pics too if you want!

We are trying to keep it in the area of Bellmore, Merrick, Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa

How about Verdi's of Westbury? They have multiple rooms and can accomodate that many and the price is great for the amount of food you get!

Your DH might know my DH's family. They've been members for YEARS and his aunt was the first female volunteer fireman there. Funny!
