55+ COMMUNITIES
Does anyone know of any 55+ communities in the central suffolk area?
My MIL is looking to sell her house and move since my FIL passed away and she does not know where to begin looking.
We figured we would look for a place that has a clubhouse with activities and a bus that takes people to and from the supermarket/stores - since she does not like to drive.
Thanks.
ETA: She lives in Holtsville right now and does not want to be further East of there since my SIL's travel from Queens and NJ to visit, she doesn't want them to have to drive further.

My aunt is in one in North Babylon - Primrose Lane. It has a clubhouse, pool, nightly card games, etc.
And its right off DPA so food shopping is walkable.

My MIL looked at a condo right next to the court house in Islip. Sorry I don't remember the name, but they offer both 55+ and all age communities next to each other.
ETS: These were all new construction.

Don't know how far she's willing to go, but the ones in Westbury across from Target (on Zeckendorf) are beautiful. And RIGHT by the Roosevelt Field Mall...perfect for the non-driver.

My grandfather's 1 bedroom condo is for sale in this community. If she's interested FM me. It's really nice and has a great clubhouse and pool. he really enjoyed it there. there's 2 shopping centers around the corner so lots to walk/drive too.

Or it could be courthouse commons--both of these communities are my firm's client.
