the USPS wants $1 for me to change my address online!!!???? HA!

Re: changing address....
The address change with the post office will change your address in their system, and forward any mail to you for 1 year (other than junk mail).
I'm not sure what you meant by having your address with other services. Changing your mailing address with USPS will only change it with them.

Re: changing address....
i think you mean something like credit cards have your address on file, if you change your address with USPS does that change your account with the credit card companies?
the answer is no.. you have to change them all individually.

exactly... only reason i asked is because i used to work at a company that used mailing lists... we would get things returned from the USPS with a "change address" tag with the NEW address which we would then update our records with... wasnt sure how it worked exactly...
boy, i got my work cut out for me today... only about 20 things to change... ugh..
done so far: credit cards (5 out of 8) banking 4x investments 4x student loans 2x cable 1x magazines 3x work info netflix
what am i missing? no utilities have to change. we are moving into a co-op so its all included.

Re: changing address....
You have to change everything.. the post office will not change it for you.. they will only route your mail to the new address...

Do you belong to Costco or BJs? You should update those too.

you do get a big enveloped stuffed with coupons and offers when you change your address
sometimes i would forget to update my address for certain services, and the mail would still come to my new address...it was forwarded
if you don't change your license, the DMV will have an issue reaching you for registration renewals
