Car Seat Suggestions

My son has outgrown his infant seat. And we were supposed to receive one through a friend, but that fell through. So now I am scrounging for a stage 2 car seat. So many of what we looked at seem to not have much head support. I know that Britax is supposed to be really good, but I don't have $300+ to spend. I need one that is safe, reliable and reasonably priced. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

All of my convertible carseats are Britax brand. I got them all on sale! Amazon.com usually has great sales and a lot of times free shipping. I found a Britax Roundabout in Cowmooflage (I have this pattern) for $150! CLICK HERE! Also, please keep in mind that it is recommended that children remain rear facing for as long as their convertible car seat allows according to its weight limit. I have the Recaro Como and it's nice and it's head rest area is nice and deep. Her head never flops down or anything when she falls asleep.

I have it in blush but it comes in other colors.

I have two Britax marathons. They are vey highly rated. If I had it to do over I probably would have gotten the myride 65 since that can rear face until 40 lbs(the safest way for your child to ride as long as possible)

How much do you have?

There are plenty of seats that are under 200. All seats on the market are safe. They all pass the same testing. Some just have features which make them easier to use/install, but they're all the same, safety wise.

Since you are coming from an infant seat, I'm going to assume your son is under age 2 and still needs to be rear facing, so here are a few seats that are available for you for under $200 that should last most kids rear facing up to about age 2 and 40lbs.

First Years/Learning Curve True Fit $145 -$180 (only RF to 35lbs but still gets most kids to 2 RF)

I have no advice but first want to say YAY Hi Emily!!

I saw this one at costco and its normally $150. If you see anything on their website I have a card and can go anytime!
