March/April Moms ... Toys for DC
DS was born the end of March and I'm curious what toys your DC are playing with.
I'm getting the itch to shop, I guess

Playing with is a stretch, haha. DD was born 4/9, she loves her play gym, starting to love Sophie, she also loves these 2 rattles i got that almost looking like dumbells. Her favorite is the TinyLove toy bar that can attach to just about any seat. Its great and she is starting to pull at the toys now.

Re: March/April Moms ... Toys for DC
I love love love toys, I think I love DSs toys more than he does. I cannot get enough toys, but honestly I'm really really trying to keep from over doing it, even though I'm overdoing it a little.
Right now DS is teething so anything that's a good chew.
Chewy Tubes - someone here recommended and they are great, easy to hold and he chews on them a long time
 Grab Apple
John Deere Seed Packet Teething Rattle
Manhattan Toy Winkel
He loves to look at sophie, but she's still too complex for him to hold and chew on successfully
Amazing Baby Developmental Light-Up Musical Mirror (great for tummy time!)
Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Great to get his attention, he loves looking at it, but it still a bit heavy to hold.
Baby Einstein Jumper equipped with hugga bebe
Our next purchase will probably be
Bright Starts - Doodle Bugs Around We Go Baby Activity Station
Then some playskool toys for when he starts sitting, there are whole bunch that look cool
eta: DS is sitting tripod now for a minute or two at a time, so we think he'll be sitting up soon.

Re: March/April Moms ... Toys for DC
DS was born 3/6/10 (2 months premature). He doesn't really have a lot of toys yet.
We just started using Sophie recently. He's not quite coordinated enough to grab her AND put her in his mouth, but if I put it up to his mouth, he likes to chew on her and tries to hold her.
He likes his bouncer, activity center that I lay him under and he can kick and grab toys, jumperoo (fits well in it with the Hugga Bebe insert) and he loves jumping in it.
Hmmm, what else? We have the crinkly lion and another little rattle type toy that he likes playing with (we clipped them on to his rocker so he can grab at them).

Re: March/April Moms ... Toys for DC
generally speaking DD likes anything that makes some sort of noise (crinkles, squeeks) or anything she can put in her mouth
our current toys:
her hands & feet lol
sophie - she likes the squeeking and will hold her for a little and eat her if i put sophie in her mouth, but i dont think she really "gets" sophie
lamaze moose & lamaze peacock - she looooves these. she will bat, hold, eat, make the crinkle noise etc.
anything that spins (especially if it spins with balls in it) - the things attached to the exersaucer and bouncer - she'll turn them herself.
playskool busy balls - just started to use these. she bats at them and tries to grab them.
any animals/rattles that attach to the playmay - she likes to hit and kick them.
one of those lovey things (bear head w/little blankie) and the aden anais blankets - she likes to eat them & put them over her head
sassy me in the mirror - great for tummy time. she'll look at herself or grab at the little bugs.
we also have these lamaze bug rattles that attach to the wrists and slip on like socks for the feet but i havent tried to use them again. i tried when DD was really little and they kept falling off
i keep wanting to buy toys at the store!!!!
whats everyone getting for the holidays?

I'm so glad this was posted. I'm trying to figure out what to get DD. She's really just into rattles now and musical toys. She likes Sophie but won't really hold onto it.
