Fever while pregnant?
What can we do if it happens? I don't have one now but I feel SO sick and predicting I'll get one before the day is over   Is it dangerous at all for the baby?

I don't have a fever now.. I'm just afraid I'll have one later.. I ALWAYS get a fever with a cold!!
I feel so achy.

You can take tylenol, but you should also call your doctor. They may want to get you in just to make sure you don't have an infection, since a fever is often a sign of an infection. Tylenol will bring your temp down but also mask symptoms. Depending on how high your temp is, you'll want to bring it down since the baby will be warm too if your temp is up.

Thanks! I actually just called my dr but they were confusing!!
The receptionist said to take reg strength tylenol but didn't give any instructions as far as dosage.. etc... then a minute later said if I get a fever I should call in for an antibiotic.. so which is it?
She also didn't say how high it has to be and for how long for it to be a real concern. Ahh I really don't like when the receptionists answer your questions rather than just putting on the drs I just feel like he would have been more clear.

Ask to speak to the nurse. S/he should know better.
I was reading that anything over 100.4 is an actual fever while pregnant. Just call again to make sure.

hopefully you wont get one- I have been hovering at around 98.8 for the last three days and I am praying it doesnt get higher than that
keep drinking as much tea, oj and water as you can tolerate to flush out your system

My Dr said I can take up to two Extra Strength Tylenol a day.
I hope u dont get a fever though!

Tylenol will help ! When I had a fever during my 2nd trimester, my OB told me to only take regular strength Tylenol. Definitely call your OB just to make sure !

Thanks! I called and they said reg strength but they didn't have any in the store- and by the time I called back they were out for the day!! 
I emailed my RE and he said 1 extra strength instead is fine!  No fever yet but I feel awful.

I had a fever a few weeks ago and DR. B said 2 doses of tylenol per day was ok...and that extra strength is ok too. Feel Better :)
