Got quote for kitchen
I had a company come over to give a quote and do not know if the price is good (sounds to good to be true because my new kitchen is bigger than last but price is almost the same).
She said it would cost b/t $32-$34.
Here is what it includes for 8x7x8(with addition of a peninsula-add another 7 feet of cabinets) kitchen.
All electric
All plumbing
600 feet of tile (does not include subfloor due to do not know what we are putting there)-cutting of doors if raise in subfloor
Granite/Silestone counters
Backsplash
Cabinets
sink/faucet
sheetrock/spackle
Does not include
dumpster
gutting (my husband does that)

what kind of cabinets? That does not include appliances?
That's about what we paid for alll of what you decribed including all new GE profile appliances and cherry wood cabinets with many pull out add ons. I would have them specify what the cabinets include, molding, shelving, etc.
I would get another quote.

That's about what we paid for alll of what you decribed including all new GE profile appliances and cherry wood cabinets with many pull out add ons. I would have them specify what the cabinets include, molding, shelving, etc.
I would get another quote.

I personally hate the contractors allowance system that they use. I feel like somewhere along the line you lose money and are forced to go to stores that give them a kick back.....
WHen we did our kitchen, I had them just quote us the labor and building materials and then we bought everything ourselves (counters, cabinets, etc)

I paid $40k in total for my kitchen, including appliances which were around $6k but I only paid contractor for labor, electric, and basic materials. We got the cabinets, tiles, faucets, floor, and everything else on our own which I liked because I wasnt limited or on their budget.

The guy that did our bathrooms specializes in bathrooms and kitches and this is the system he used. He supplied the basics - sheetrock, subfloor, labor and subcontractors such as the electricians. We got the tiles, cabinets, plumbing fixutres, etc. on our own. FM me if you want his info.

This is what we recommend all of our clients do (My Dad owns a custom kitchen cabinetry business- he hand crafts all the cabinets in his factory/showroom to each client's specifications)... we find they are able to save significantly more money shopping the individual components of the kitchen vs. going w/ a contractor that gets kick backs.
edited to say- my mom redid her entire kitchen down to the stud and paid 40k- this included new hard wood flooring- the kind where it goes down and then gets finished, backsplash, granite, appliances, toe kick heating, taking down a wall & putting in a header, etc...
it definitely saved that she shopped on her own.

I purchased the products on my own i.e. cabinets at Home Depot, tiles, light fixtures, faucet, sink, granite. MY contracter put everything together. FM me for more details.
