Just over $2000- floor to ceiling tile, includes grout and sealant. Fully tiled shower stall. BUT tiny bathroom- 5x7'

Tile from Procida tile- ceramic (subway and square tiles) with glasstile border and accents.

Re: How much did you spend on TILES for your new bathroom???

WOW!

$1200. Cancos tile.
Originally the border I picked out would have cost $1200 alone but I rethought that!

We did tile half way up on the wall and higher (door height) in the bathtub area.

ETA: Our bath is 8x7.

Re: How much did you spend on TILES for your new bathroom???

Sounds like you got some nice, but expensive tile. Our tiles were about $1500 for the downstairs and about $3500 for upstairs but the master was large (10 x 11 with a tiled shower, large soaking tub and wall tile all around with expensive glass trim and chair rail). Pics are in my album. It could have been worse - I fell in love with a trim tile that was $54 for an 8" linear piece - that would have been about $4000 just for the trim!

Re: How much did you spend on TILES for your new bathroom???

You must be getting very expensive tile.

We spent a little more than that for our entire bathroom WITH installation, fixtures, vanity with granite top (top from HD), plumbing (but FIL is plumber) and pump to pump water up (since the bathroom is in the basement)This included, all tile (from HD and Lowes) - floor to ceiling and mosaic marble/glass tile. including the shower (with ceiling in the shower), 2 granite shelves 1 granite seat and a piece of granite to go over shower step (cant explain) and the piece that goes under the bathroom door (cant remember what it is called) (all granite was from a granite place and custom made). Our bathroom is pretty large (large enough for a 48 inch vanity) and Our shower is big almost tub length large enough for 2 people.

Sorry I was away for the weekend!

Funny that you're asking this - we actually have 3 guys here this minute, tiling our bathroom! Chat Icon

We got floor tile from Cancos and it was ridiculously cheap - about $4/sq.ft. We're going with a black and white retro theme and got white octagon tile with black dots, very old school. On the walls is Subway tile with a black, white, and gray mosaic pattern. Between the tile, mosaic, borders it was probably about $600? Subway tile is dirt cheap. So all our tile was under $800, plus grout and glue, however much that was.

Our budget was higher, so it really worked out and we could spend more on the sink, fixtures, etc. Yay! Should be done in a few days - I'll post pics.

Re: How much did you spend on TILES for your new bathroom???

I am pricing tile right now...for the shower 2.5ft by 4ft...if i only do 2 walls (other 2 glass) I'm looking at $217.60 for the walls or $305 if I do the 3 walls with beige tumbled travertine. this is just plain tumbled travertine...it would obv cost me more if i decide on an accent tile to do a strip across.

for the shower floor I am looking at river rock mesh backed tile...between $85-120 for the shower floor

and for the bathroom floor I am looking at ceramic / porcelain wood look tile...$390 for 7.76x5.6 bathroom

so $815 at most if i do decide to do the third wall...maybe $100-$200 more if I do an accent border with the third wall...

DH is installing himself.

TIP: check with tile manufacturers and see if they have clearance tiles they are trying to get out. my shower wall tiles are clearance that the manufacturer needs to sell to make space for new product. also check craigslist, ebay and use google shop to compare prices.
