How has your workout changed throughout your pregnancy? (esp you 3rd tri girls!)
How has your workout routine changed (regressed?) throughout your pregnancy? Wondering when I'll have to give it up...
I started out going to the gym and doing my normal cardio routine (40 minutes of elliptical/treadmill) every day... now at 33w4d I'm still "power walking" for about 30 minutes every day and feel great doing it.
I know that it will eventually have to come to an end, but when will I know to stop? Will it just hurt? Are there other exercises I can do in very late pregnancy to make me not feel like a lazy lump?

I can still work out as much as I did at the beginning time wise just slower LOL.
I was walking every day, three times a day in 15 minute intervals ( during break times at work mostly, that is why so short ). I can still do that, no problem but I have of course slowed down a bit. And now, I have to walk around INSIDE the building like a crazy person because of the heat LOL
You may be able to do that all the way until the end!
I still do my yoga at night too, and I can still do all my poses (nothing too fancy).

I worked out 4x weeks (elliptical/treadmill) yoga and pilates until I was almost 34 weeks. I would still be going but I have symphsis pubis dysfunction and I was advised at the my 34 week appointment (after I complained about pain) to "take it easy." So now I just walk as much as possible in this heat and lift light weights in my house. If your dr doesnt tell you stop, I think your body will let know when it's ready.

Re: How has your workout changed throughout your pregnancy? (esp you 3rd tri girls!)
I'm still in my 1st tri but mine has changed drastically. I was a runner but felt over exerted by my 5th week and stopped - did the bike and elliptical instead and lifted with a trainer. As soon as the horrible MS kicked in at 6 weeks, I was done -- working out at night or in the AM would leave me in dry heaves (and I can't work out during the day because I work 12 hours!) so I have been lifting with my trainer in the afternoons on weekends but can't do much during the week at all. I'm SOO ready for the 2nd tri -- I want the MS and exhaustion to go away and to finally start feeling "good" again (it has been way too long!) I'm hoping to get back into my work out routine in my 2nd tri

I still do my 6 days a week...hour of cardio and 2 days of weights. I just use much less weight and run very slow...a 10 min/mile pace feels like when I was running at 8 min/mile. I also don't do my long run (10+) miles anymore...just don't have that stamina.

Work out? I haven't done that in months!!! I do try to walk for 30 minutes a day (weather permitting) but lately between the heat, humidity and being so far along in my pregnancy, I haven't been doing it

Re: How has your workout changed throughout your pregnancy? (esp you 3rd tri girls!)
at 10 weeks (still so new I know), I've actually picked it up a bit from 3x a week to 4. When I first got PG I was petrified and would get cramps, so I would only walk like 30 min a few times a week.
Once I got clearance from my doctor 5 weeks ago, I'm on the elliptical and stationary bike for 45 minutes, doing free weights, squats, etc and feeling great!
Despite exhaustion I do feel better after a workout.
I'm hoping to keep it up as long as I possibly can.

I've been on bed rest since 31 weeks but I gave up working out all together at 25 weeks. I was just so exhausted, I couldn't even think about working out. Congrats to all you women who can do it, especially in this heat.

My thoughts exactly!
I had some bleeding for the first 15wks of my pregnancy and was told not to do anything more than walking. So, that was all I kept doing until a few weeks ago. I am 35wks (with twins) now and can barely walk to the bathroom without getting winded.

Re: How has your workout changed throughout your pregnancy? (esp you 3rd tri girls!)
I'm almost 31 weeks and have kept the same routine as I did before; 30 minutes of cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairmaster) 5-6x a week with weight lifting 3-4x a week and yoga once a week. My cardio actually I've increased from 20minutes a day pre-preg to 30 minutes while pregnant just b/c I've read its good for the baby. I've just started to feel a bit weaker and a bit winded earlier in my workouts, so I've adjusted based on the day and what my body's telling me.

Re: How has your workout changed throughout your pregnancy? (esp you 3rd tri girls!)
I am 33 weeks tomorrow and feeling the best I have in a while!
I used to run prior to BFP, and as soon as I got pregnant switched to walking.
I am still walking 45 minutes - 1 hour at around 3.6mph and 2 grade. Depending on time and energy I do some strength training.
With DD #1 was was barely able to do 30 minutes at this point, so I hope I can keep going as long as I can.
Listen to your body, you will know when you are aching and too tired!

What? Isn't eating is a competitive sport?
Dang it! No one told me that!
