Had Riley's 1st birthday party today!
Had a wonderful time...friends came from near and far...love you all!
We had it at a local park, rented the pavilion and had heroes catered. It was a lot of work and stressful but totally worth it!! The weather miraculously cooperated- it was pouring by my house for the longest time, but the shower completely passed by the park. YAY!!!
I can't share any of this on Facebook since we're using a fake party date to fool my cousin into her bridal shower...so this is where I get to share!
The cake! My sister superimposed Riley with the Gabbas. (along with a pic of Riley taken by Lexi-Bella )
mmmm, cake
And pics of Riley with her friends
Riley and Emerson (Kristen - Hofstra26)
Riley, Tommy (Jen - Caseygirl) and Liam (Ivelysse - MrsPowers). It looks like Riley is helping Liam get his binky back but I think she actually took it out of his mouth!
Riley, Tommy and Emma (DavenJess). I love Riley's expression here!
The LIF contingent
This pic now includes Samantha (Michelle- MrsRbk)
Thanks for letting me share! I'm sure there are way better pics out there...these are just the ones I got around to taking with my camera.

OMG I LOVE THESE PIX!!! I *especially* love the photoshop job on Riley's cake just think, you can lie later on and tell her the Gabbas came to her party!!!!!! Jeez the possibilities are *endless*, you can superimpose her pics with the Disney characters, the Muppets, Laurie Berkner....
Soooooooooooo glad the weather held out for you all today!!!!

Re: Had Riley's 1st birthday party today!
ooh can't wait to see your pics, thanks Michelle! And thanks everyone!
I can't believe I'm still beating myself up that I didn't put her in her real fancy party dress. She got CRAZY dirty and it was pretty warm out for that heavy dress...but I'm sad that she isn't all dressed up for her party pics.
I'm such a lame-o!

Oooh you are SO LUCKY! Actually it's not luck- you just did it with enough time in advance, unlike yours truly who just sat on her hands. I would have killed for Dunkerhook. We got the Duck Pond in Ridgewood.
It's so nice to have a party in a park like that! Good luck with it and have fun!! Let me know if you need any help or recommendations!
Kris- so glad you all had fun I just need to see more of you guys next time!!

OMG I was there yesterday!!!! I saw a party in the pavilion but we were in the playground so I wasn't close enough to actually see anyone. Too funny!!!

Probably, we were there around 1/2 I think, stayed a couple of hours, till 3ish. We attempted to walk around the duck pond but DS wanted to run right in the water, so if you heard a baby having a nuclear meltdown, that was us. So we mostly stayed in the playground and watched the dogs in the dogrun too.
