newborn congestion??
noah is 1 month today and has been congested since birth. it is soooooo bad. it seriously affects his eating and sleeping. his boogies come out green and bloody. he has a 1 month check on tuesday, but i am wondering how long does this last???

DD was congestion badly while in the hospital they gave her saline drops there and i bought the little noses saline drops when we got home and used the aspirator to help

my DS was the very same way! always always congested especially in the weeks after i gave birth! i was told it was totally normal as long as he was thriving etc. seemed not sick. it drove me crazy though! i did elevate his crib mattress as he was tightly swaddled, ran a cool mist humidifier and used saline drops. ii would say that the daily congestion actually lasted until he was about 4 months or so-MAYBE even 5 months. but i think he was more congested than most other babies.

Did you have a csection? This is very common for these babies because the fluid isn't pressed out of them like in babies who have vaginal deliveries.
