NT scans and gender guesses?
If they "guessed" the gender at your NT scan, were they ultimately right?
We went for an NT scan a few weeks ago, and the baby was doing beautifully. The sono tech was able to make a guess at the gender. The tech said they wouldn't mention anything to us unless they were pretty sure. I was about 13 weeks at the time.
For the record, I don't care what we have as long as the baby's healthy. I'd just like to know who's inside me.

I just had mine yesterday. I had two different techs and I tried to get them both to check it out but they wouldnt!
 I want to know so bad lol!

When I went for mine our tech asked if we wanted her to take a look, she said she could probably tell, but we are team  so we declined

Ooooh that's so cool, how far along were you? I'm just curious because you know I'm getting it done at the same place in a week! 
I will be 12 weeks on the nose! (I feel like that's WAY too soon .. even for 3d!)

And I am pretty good myself at looking at some 12/13wks sonos and If I see what I need to see, can guess too.

When I went for NT scans, the tech wouldn't tell us at 13 weeks. We waited until 16 weeks to find out !

From what Ive been told it has to do with the angle of the dangle...
If the "nub" is at a 70 degree angle or above...it's a boy!
If the nub is at a 30 degree angle or less...it's a girl!
It's the area in between that is more of a gray area where a tech may be unsure.
When the perinatologist did my NT with DS he told me to not go painting the room blue or anything but he was pretty sure it was a boy. As I was leaving I mentioned this to his assistant and she said "did he also tell you that he's never been wrong?"
He was right....

Exactly what my OB told me (he does all my US). I was told  at 12 weeks... but to wait before I paint things blue.
I was re-confirmed at every ultrasound... my kid loves showing it off.
There's a great website that shows probability & the pictures of male & female genitals at different weeks...just can't find it now.

Just had my NT scan at LIJ Monday I was almost 13 weeks. I asked the tech and she said she was 60% sure they are girls (Oh did I mention I am pregnant with twins :) ) The Dr. came in and said they were girls also. But my friend pointed out, 60% positive when it comes to a 50/50 chance is like not being sure at all.

rachel its VERY possible for them to tell! my friend is a sono tech & she says by 12 weeks, you can def tell depending on the position of the baby of course!

Well, we are Team , but the ultrasound tech said she knew what the gender was for sure. I was I think 12wks 1 day. I automatically assumed it was a boy then, but after speaking with a friend, she found out at 12 weeks that she was having a girl...and they were right! So for me who knows, but evidently (and as per my friend who is a sonographer) they can tell although not necessarily 100%.

the tech at mine and the doctor who came in both said they believed it was a girl but weren't making any promises. we shall see; i'm 14 wks now.

i went at 13w6days and you could see his pickle clear as day even before the sono lady said anything I said he is a boy she was like oh yeah and said 90%. at 20w it was confirmed just depends if they can get a good money shot and how advanced the machine they are using. my office they can rewind, slow mo etc and my baby had his legs wide open.
