Pool poll
How do you feel about above ground pools?
Do you like them, hate them, don't care either way? Would you put one up? Would you care if your neighbor put one up?

Our neighbor has one and the other day a bunch of the area kids were in there swimming. It made me want a pool! But our yard is not level at all and I can't see how we'd be able to put one up. And as much as I would love to have one, I know I'd hate the upkeep.
If it was an option, I'd do the above ground thing only since we want kids and I would worry constantly about the kids falling in. I feel like every summer there's a terrible story about a mom who turned away for two minutes to find her kid in the pool.

My dad had one when we were kids when he lived in Brooklyn. We had the best times!!!! Me, my sister and my cousins loved it - we were young though. I say why not? Its MUCH better than no pool at all!!!

I grew up with an inground and then in the next house with an above ground. To me, a pool is a pool. I have seen above ground pools done beautifully with decking around it or even halfway into the ground. Image Attachment(s):

 While growing up we always had a pool in the yard. Started out with the kiddie pool, then upgraded to a 3ft. When I was about 13 years old we got a 4 foot round and love it!
I still go to my parents house to "sneak a swim".

I have no problem with above ground pools. I always wanted one as a kid, but our backyard was very small, so my parents wouldn't get one.
I really hope to have a pool when we have a house.

i like above ground pools but if i ever get a house i would love a in the ground pool and a diving baord with a slide.

We actually just installed one (above ground) in our back yard. ITS FABULOUS!!!
