third tri: hard to breathe?
I had this in the first trimester too and now its back. I could understand if the baby was super high but I don't feel like s/he is but I find myself breathing so heavy sometimes even when I am just sitting here on LIF, LOL.
Anyone else have this? Worth mentioning at my next appointment?

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
I get short of breath too- and it's usually when I am just sitting around- not after exerting myself. I contribute it to the baby just compressing everything- and when you are sitting I feel like it's worse because they are all squished up in there. I stand up and stretch my arms over my head- trying to make more room.
The shortness of breath comes in spurts and goes away after a few minutes but it is annoying!

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
Everything is worth mentioning if you're concerned, but it is totally normal.
I don't think it only happens because the baby is or isn't kicking you in the ribs. It also happens to me because I'm carrying so much weight around and it's tiring.

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
The baby could be laying on your diaphragm. Everything gets harder in the third trimester. Also, your body needs MORE oxygen because your little one isn't so little anymore. It is perfectly normal.

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
yep! i even get winded overnight when i turn from one side to another. everything is just more squished in there than before, so its normal.

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
My supervisor had this toward the end of her pregnancy. The baby's foot was in her lung.

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
I just assume it's from the baby not having much room anymore. It sounds normal to me...hang in there!

totally normal - the baby is getting bigger and pushing everything around/out of the way etc in your 'insides'

Re: third tri: hard to breathe?
Yes, it's normal, happens to me worse when I am sitting at my desk after I eat. I think it also contributes to this crazy exhaustion!!!!! I find either sitting up abnormally straight or leaning back helps.....soon, SOON!

Oh definitely feeling this too.. especially when I have to climb up the 42 steps on the LIRR platform (Yes I counted them!) I also get a little bit of this after I eat.. no matter how much I eat!
