Hat help for toddlers with big heads!!
Ok, so DS removes all hats I put on him in seconds. Its created quite tantrums. We are extremely fair skinned and I don't want him to burn. Last year, I could get away with hats that had the straps that go around his chin, but this year, his head is too big for them (he's 16 mos, but needs a child size s-m for baseball hats). GRRR, any tips or advice?? Do they make big kid hats with straps?

have you seen my kid's head?
just picked up a beach hat at target with the chin straps...it fits fine!i think it was size 3T

ooh, ok. I may check out there then. Man, this kid head is killing me. LOL. Plus, he pulls off anything I put on his head. He is lucky he isn't a girl.

DD is 12 months and has a head that is WAY off the charts. She has about the same size as her almost 3 year old sister. I found some at gymboree that were for 3-5T and they fit and have a strap underneath. Also BBB has hats that are for toddlers that fit DD as well - and they have ties - they come in pink, blue, white, tan etc - so you could try those. I find that if I get the hat on her even without the strap (DD has almost no hair so I was worried at WDW that her scalp would burn since I couldn't use sunscreen) if I distracted her for about 2 mins when I got the hat on she would forget about it and leave it on for a while - but if I didn't it would constantly come off

We just got this for DS (who is very fair), and he tolerates it and it provides great coverage!

we found one for Em's huge noggin at Buy Buy Baby - she's 1 week shy of a year  , but her hats are 18-24 months.
