Question about appts
I had an 8 wk appt on wednesday. The dr. told me to come back in 3 weeks. That would make me 11 wks. But don't most people have a 12 wk check-up?

well my 12 week appt is split into 2...1 with the doc to go over my blood results and 1 for the NT Scan. I chose to do them both together, so I am going in at almost 13 weeks.
Some people go a little before 12 I think...is the appt for the NT scan?

Were you exactly 8 weeks at your appt, or 8 weeks and a few days?
Either way, your doc must have a reason for wanting to see u in 3 weeks. I wouldn't stress it.
Sometimes early on the DD is off so maybe your doc wants you back in 3 weeks to see if your still measuring for that DD.

Honestly, my appointments don't go with certain milestone weeks. It's just "ok, make an appointment in 4 weeks". I'm having one next week at 27, had my last one at 23. No biggie, just as long as she sees you on a monthly basis for now.

I am going for my first appt at 9 weeks (I already had a sono though). My doc does every 4 weeks, so I will be 13 weeks for my following appt.

I measured 8 wks on the dot. I thought I was 7w6d, but was prob off with conception by a day.
I asked when to come in and he said "2-3 weeks, how long can you go?" So I don't know if he's having me come in for my benefit? When I went to the desk, the receptionist said 3 wks. Maybe I'll call to be sure.

I did my bloodwork at 14 weeks. They normally gave me a range of weeks to do any tests.

I think the next round of bloodwork is at around 18 weeks? Maybe one of the other girls can confirm. I am 33.5 weeks and my memory is shot these days.

for checkups, don't stress about what week you are in. just go at regular intervals and get the important testing done within the time frames for it. i would just check to see if/when/were you should make the appt. for the NT scan. Sometimes those appt. can be harder to get, so you might want to make it in advance.

I was just going to say this. I'll be 12 weeks during my next appt, but it could've been 13 or 11.
