Looking for some fun bars on Bleeker/MacDougal St., NYC...

We are going into the village for my friends Bachelorette party and want to bar hop on Bleeker/MacDougal Streets.

Can anyone recommend some fun bars to hit up while we are there??

Thanks :);):):):)

I used to work at The Red Lion a million years ago, corner of Bleecker & Thompson Chat Icon It was a dive back then with GREAT music from 4pm to 4am. I passed by recently and it looks way more upscale so I'm sure it's not as fun Chat Icon
Kenny's Castaways is still thriving, great place...

Peculier Pub is a fun place to start, they have THOUSANDS of beers from all over the world; not the best place overall, but a fun way to start the night with a drink or two!

For a bachelorette party SOB's (Sounds of Brazil) could be AWESOME, http://www.sobs.com/ they cater to the birthday/bachelorette crowd and have packages for dinner/drinks, and the music there never disappoints (Latin/Caribbean/Samba/HipHop depending on who's playing that night!) You could start there then continue your night over on Bleecker Street just a few blocks away!!

I used to go to Off the Wagon aaalll the time when i was younger and always had a blast. Not sure what age group you are but it's good for 20 somethings. Cheap drinks and fun music.

I second Kenny's Castaway - always live music and a good time there.

oh, Fat Black Pussycat on 3rd st, right off 6th Ave is great. There's a regular bar upstairs, then a back room with tables, then downstairs is a club if you guys feel like dancing. it's got something for everyone

Love cafe wha!! its so much fun! There is a live band, and they play classic songs you can sing along too.

Faluka is nice, its a middle eastern/morracan themed lounge, hookah, drinks belly dancing.

Have fun!

Agreed! Off the wagon is a college frat boy hang out. Cheap drinks and good times!

FBP is also good. Bar on the right, lounge on the left and the club downstairs. Just be ware that although admission is free, the club is $10.

If you venture right off Bleecker to West 4th, there's also a bunch of bars there too. Down the hatch (sister bar of Off the Wagon), Slaughtered Lamb, Jeckyl and Hyde and a few others.

Have fun!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
