Salisbury Estates and Bethpage
Dh and I are going to be house hunting this summer. It has taken us a LONG time to figure out where we want to go. We were thinking Rockland County but changed our minds to Nassau County. We will be relocating from Queens. What can you tell me about these two towns? TIA!

Re: Salisbury Estates and Bethpage
I have family in Salisbury. It's a pretty nice area. Schools are East Meadow, which are good schools. What else do you want to know?

Re: Salisbury Estates and Bethpage
I grew up in Bethpage, my family is still there. Absolutely love it. My brother went to Charles Campagne School, JFK MIddle School (I am 8 years older than him so I finished elementary and Jr high school in Queens before we moved) and to Bethpage High school (as did I). I wish I still lived up there. It was a great place to grow up.
Feel free to FM me if you have any specific qustions.

I'm in Bethpage too. We like it a lot.
FM if you want.
We actually put a bid on a house in East Meadow at the same time as our home in Bethpage and chose Bethpage.
The EM home was not in Salisbury though.

Grew up in Bethpage, and like previous poster, went to CC elementary, JFk middle school and Bethpage high.
I moved out only one town over, North Massapequa.

I grew up in Bethpage. Attended JFK and the HS. I loved every min of being there. There's a lot of shopping, close to all the major roadways etc.
Schoools are great too. I still have my best friends there too

Re: Salisbury Estates and Bethpage
Thanks for all the replies! I think both towns and school districts are great! I wanted to see if there was any negative feedback! So far so good!
We are looking for a town with a lot to offer a working middle class family with young children. I think we have selected two great towns...now just to find the house of our dreams!

Re: Salisbury Estates and Bethpage
The only thing that annoys me about the area is the damm LIRR train horns.
I don't even live near the Bethpage LIRR station, easily 2+ miles away. Yet I can still hear it, and hear it pretty good.
It's not that big of a deal, but it is something. I moved from the south shore and it was extremely rare you would hear the Babylon LIRR horns (since it's an elevated line).
