I just found out yesterday evening that Robbie won't wear his to school anymore because they aren't cool. Now he needs the Color Blends kind. Ridiculous.

My 11-year-old nephew had gotten some for his birthday a few weeks ago and I had no idea what they were. A few days later, I saw ALL the kids wearing them!

I teach at a Hebrew school one afternoon per week, and gave my 9-year-olds a 2 minute warning before starting class, after which I did not want to hear any conversation about silly bandz (or as I called them, "those rubber band things"). They are a good bunch and listened very well.

I absolutely think they should be banned in schools, just like slap bracelets were when I was in junior high (and I had quite a collection of those).

If I was a kid now, I know I'd have a ton of them, b/c I collected every fad item that came out when I was that age. However, I think my mom would have a problem with the whole rubber band around the wrist idea, as she always told me NEVER to do that!

They are even a huge thing in HIGH SCHOOL!!! Man.

I never thought they sould have banned slap bracelets. Lame. I'm not srue about these though.

P.S. there is a kiosk in the walt whitman mall that has tons of them. I am pretty sure they are silly bands and not knock offs.
