Niagara Falls & Toronto
We have a wedding in Mississauga (near Toronto), i've never been to Canada, and i've never seen the falls so i'm siked for some sightseeing. Has anyone been to both? Suggestions? We're going in September. TIA!

There is a very picturesque town on the Canadian side called Niagra on the Lake that was nice to walk around.

Re: Niagara Falls & Toronto
DH and I went Labor Day weekend 2004. We drove to Toronto from Chicago and stayed at a Hilton. The hotel was really nice and centrally located. Toronto is a great city, very diverse, lots to do. Definitely take a boat cruise around the lake, the skyline is beautiful.
One day while we were there, we drove to Niagara Falls. It was pretty cool since neither of us had been. We also went to a nature museum while we were there.
Definitely recommend both if you can fit it in.

thanks great tips!
I got engaged at Niagara Falls!!! I absolutely loved it there!! The Canadian side is beautiful and there's lots of crazy stuff to do in town (ripley's believe it or not museum is kinda fun) but Niagara on the Lake was gorgeous and there's some really nice vineyards up in that region too that you might like. We went to Chateau de Charms and the wine was super delish and the place itself was GORGEOUS
If you have any questions, feel free to FM me

Re: Niagara Falls & Toronto
Niagra on the Lake is such a beautiful town. Tons of shopping, very scenic, clean and pretty. The wineries are also very beautiful. Everytime we go we eat at The Keg, it is a steakhouse overlooking the falls. The food is amazing and the view is unreal. The casinos and hotels on the Canadian side are all fabulous. Don't bother with the NY side they do not even come close in comparison.

Re: Niagara Falls & Toronto
My husband and I vacationed to Niagara Falls a few years ago in September. I was gorgeous. Perfect weather too!
We stayed on the Canada side and loved every second of it. There is definitely a lot to do there and I personally think the Canada side is much nicer then the NY side.
We flew Jet Blue to Buffalo (for about $35 each way!) and then rented a car and drove over to Canada side. Not long of a ride at all. I definitely suggest traveling this way!
FM me if you want more info on where we stayed, what we did, etc.
Good luck!
