Staining light wood?

I am probably getting ahead of myself...but curious

My (hopefully) future home has real wood in some rooms, but it is a unique light pinkish wood...very nice, but not my taste.

Can it be sanded and restained? Has anyone does this successfully? if so, can I see pics? would you reccommend anyone?

if it's real hardwood floors, it should be able to be sanded and stained another color. I don't know what kind of wood that is, but maybe you can call in a floor guy and get their opinion first and find out the kind of wood it is first. Different woods stain differently. So you can take the same color stain and put it on different types of wood flooring and you might see the colors a little different because of the type of wood it is. I would ask the owners if they know what kind of wood it is and if it is stained already. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

so long as its not laminate ypu should be able to have refinished inc stained.

Oh yes we stained ours dark dark brown when we moved in. I have a great guy if your interested :) I dont know how to post pictures on here if you tell me how I can show you mine
