please help me pick shades for the rooms in my house

Ok - i really like the roman shades and i dont know if they would go with curtains

My dining room has a curtain that covers the whole window 3/4 of the way - its a lacy see through curtain

My living room will have these curtains - but i am wrapping them around the pole so they are on the sides of the window - not like how the pic is

here are the 3 types of shades i need you to help me on

the dining room i would want black - but i think that would be to harsh with my cream colored curtain so maybe ivory

the living room i want brown

and the bedroom would be like a khaki gold color

I would do ivory pleated cellular shades in the DR AND LR.

I would ixnay the flat roman shades - they remind me of the roller shades that everyone had way back when.

For your BR - I would do the roman shades - your bedroom is a khaki gold color? or you want the shade to be a khaki gold color?

my bedspread is khaki/gold so something to match that

now i am not sure about the ivory in the LR because my curtain rod is gold so do you think it will be too much with the gold rod brown curtains and ivory shade?

Hmmm - I think the brown pleated shade would be too dark. I think you're fine with the hardware being gold. I don't think it would be too much at all.

I have no ideas for your BR, sorry - I'd have to see pics. Of your wall color and your bedspread.... There are a ton of girls on here who give awesome decorating advice when there are pics involved.
